據說在香港,有一位腫瘤科專科醫生很傳奇
既有中醫學位,也有西醫學位
更神奇的是,他六年的中醫課程,年年都考第一
讀完他六年中醫,就轉讀西醫,也是年年考第一
真是厲害,隨喜讚歎!👍
為什麼說厲害?因為聽說醫學考試存在許多不確定性,有很多臨床的考試,並不是說背書厲害就行了。
聽說有些教授會挑一些根本沒有教過的病例去考學生,然後考生就不合格了,可以死得很冤枉的~
也可以做得好,但遇上一個專肥(fail)人的教授,那麼也立即死了~
厲害的不僅是那位醫生的大腦,還有他的運氣!
佛教沒有運氣這回事,所有東西都是條件所組合而成的。
帕奧禪師說,如果一個人要成功,需要三個因素:
1.努力 2.智慧 3.業力
如果再簡單來說,就僅僅只是功德+願望而已。
一有這兩樣,就自然就會有股力量去推動我們達成目標
蠢的可以變聰明,沒運氣的可以變到有運氣
所有都僅僅只是條件的組合而已...
不過條件組合的東西都是不穩定的,是無常的、 無法掌控的、 受變化所壓迫的,終究會消失
因此應該對這一切感到厭離,體證不生不滅的涅槃--最高的快樂

Why is this impressive? Because it’s said that medical exams have many uncertainties, it is not just about memorization, but there are also many clinical skills assessment. Some professors might select cases that have never been taught to test students, leading to unfair failures.
A student could perform well but encounter a professor who is notoriously strict, resulting in immediate failure.
The remarkable thing is not just the doctor's intellect but also his luck!
In Buddhism, luck is not a concept; everything is formed by a combination of conditions.
Pa Auk Sayadaw said that for a person to succeed, three factors are needed: 1. Effort 2. Wisdom 3. Karma
To put it simply, it’s just merit + aspiration.
With these two elements, there will naturally be a force driving us to achieve our goals.
The foolish can become wise, and those without luck can find fortune. Everything is merely a combination of conditions.
However, the combinations of conditions are unstable, impermanent, uncontrollable, and subject to change; ultimately, they will decay.
Therefore, one should feel disenchanted with all of this and realize the unconditioned nibanna—the highest happiness.

一個人之所以能夠成功、獲勝,是因為運用了四神足
他們享受他們做的事情,所以他們想要不斷地做,這是欲神足

因為一心一意,所以他們把心思都放在如何做好這件事,這是考察神足
任何人能夠獲得很大的成就,都是因為運用了四神足

Their enjoyment and effort lead them to be fully engaged and focused — this is the mind base of spiritual power.
Because they are focused, they keep on thinking how to do it well — this is the Insight base of spiritual Power.
Anyone who achieves great accomplishments all employ these Four Base of Spiritual Powers.

這位是梁卓偉先生,香港的知名人士
現任香港賽馬會慈善及社區事務執行總監、 前港大醫學院院長、 前政府高官
原來他原本攻讀的醫學專科,並不是公共衛生;而是腦神經外科。
後來好像差不多要取得腦神經外科專科醫生的資格時,他突然轉讀家庭醫學、 流行病學、 公共衛生的專科。 促成了他日後在香港擔任食衞局副局長及其他政府官位的因緣。
這其實並不簡單。
要獲得一個醫學專科資格是不容易的,因為每一年取錄的人很少。
在同屆眾多醫學畢業生,要考入心儀的專科,更加困難。
但他差不多要獲得腦外科專科資格時,卻突然放棄;從新投考薪金較低,但較能惠及大眾的公共衛生專科。 注意哦! 由零開始再計算、 再培訓。
在香港,一位醫生至起碼要培訓六年,才能取得專科資格的哦~
這需要較一般人出眾的正念、 禪定和智慧才做到的。
一般人因為正念不夠,只會跟隨著慣性行事。就如Ajahn Brahm 所說:‘假如你成為了習慣的產物,你的心就會慢慢死掉,你的正念也會離去。’
有時就算那一樣東西是不好的,我們仍會因為執著慣性,而無法放下割斷。
很簡單,那些痛苦的情侶也是一樣,雖然知道雙方在一起只會帶來痛苦;但始終不肯分手,因為強烈地執著對方。
有些人一旦做了動物後,就執著了動物的身份;一直當動物下去。
有些四天王天的天神,下來人間投生,原本可以上更高的天界;但仍然執著本來的職位,讓他們一直投生到同樣的位置。
而當時梁卓偉先生的決定,顯現了比常人強的智慧。 Ajahn Golf 解釋智慧波羅蜜,就是放下捨出去的能力。
如果是我們,可能還差一點點、 可能差一年就能取得專科資格了;我們會敢於捨棄放下嗎?
一般人未必能做到。
但這只是世間程度的利益而已。
真正能夠帶來大快樂的放下,就是放下這副身心。
噢~因為執著這副身心,我們由無始以來不斷受苦。
一執著這副身心,就讓我們再次出生。
因為出生,所以我們要遭受老、 病、 死的痛苦
因為出生,所以我們要遭遇愛別離、 求不得、 碰見不喜歡人事物的痛苦
誰喜歡痛苦? 沒人喜歡。但還是死死地執著這副身心
因為智慧不夠
如果誰能夠放下這副身心,就等於放下一切,他就能在當下消滅內心所有的痛苦;也終止了再次出生所帶來的一切痛苦。
梁卓偉先生在香港算是頗有成就的人物。
但如果誰能夠放下身心;不僅在人間,甚至在天界梵天界;他也會被認為是有成就的人物;備受一切眾生的尊重。
This is Mr. Gabriel Matthew Leung, a well-known figure in Hong Kong. He is currently the Executive Director of Charities and Community Affairs at the Hong Kong Jockey Club, a former Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Hong Kong, and a former government official.
Originally, he was pursuing being a specialist in neurosurgery , not in public health. Just as he was about to qualify as a neurosurgeon, he suddenly switched to the specialty of family medicine, epidemiology, and public health. This change led to his later roles as Deputy Secretary for Food and Health in Hong Kong and other government positions.
This is not simple. Obtaining a medical specialty qualification is not easy, as only a few are admitted each year. For many medical graduates in the same cohort, getting into their desired specialty is even more difficult.
However, just when he was about to obtain his neurosurgery qualification, he suddenly gave it up to pursue a specialty in public health, which comes with a lower salary but enable one to benefit the public more. Note that he had to start from scratch and undergo retraining. In Hong Kong, a doctor must train for at least six years to obtain a specialty qualification!
This requires mindfulness, stillness, and wisdom that surpass the average person.
Most people, lacking sufficient mindfulness, simply follow their habits. As Ajahn Brahm said, "If you become a creature of habit, your mind dies slowly, and your mindfulness goes."
Sometimes, even if something is not good for us, we still cannot let go due to our attachment to habits.
It’s simple; those painful couples know that being together only brings suffering, yet they refuse to break up because they are strongly attached to each other.
Some people, once they have become animals, cling to that identity and remain animals for many lives.
Some deities from the Four Heavenly Kings realm, after accumulating great merits as a human, could have ascended to higher heavens, but they remain attached to their original positions, causing them to keep being reborn in the same place.
Mr. Leung's decision at that time demonstrated a wisdom stronger than that of ordinary people. Ajahn Golf explains that the perfection of wisdom is the ability to let go and relinquish.
If it were us: we might be just a little bit away—perhaps only a year from obtaining our specialty qualifications. Would we have the courage to let go? Most people may not be able to do so.
But this is merely a worldly benefit.
The true letting go that brings great joy is the relinquishment of this body and mind.
Oh, because we cling to this body and mind, we have been suffering since beginningless time.
Clinging to this body and mind leads to rebirth. Because of rebirth, we must endure the suffering of aging, illness, and death.
Because of rebirth, we face the pain of separation from loved ones, unfulfilled desires, and encounters with unpleasant people and situations.
Who likes suffering? No one likes it. Yet we still cling tightly to this body and mind, due to insufficient wisdom.
If anyone can let go of this body and mind, it is equivalent to letting go of everything; they can eliminate all inner suffering in the present and end all the pain brought by rebirth.
Mr. Leung is considered quite an accomplished individual in Hong Kong. However, if anyone can let go of body and mind, not only in this world but even in the heavenly realm and the Brahma realm, they will also be regarded as an accomplished person, earning the respect of all beings.
這位年輕人—黃子衡--是香港2018年中學文憑試的終極超級狀元,來自傳統名校喇沙書院
為什麼叫終極超級狀元呢?
當時,所有人都要讀以下的科目去考公開試
1. 中文
2. 英文
3. 數學
4. 通識
然後至起碼再多兩科選修課
如果能力好的話再多一科,或者再加上數學延伸部分這一科
一般比較有能力的學生,就會讀八科去考試
但黃子衡同學卻多讀一科音樂,變成了九科
那時每一科最好的成績是5**
一般只需要取得7科5** 就叫狀元了
如果在數學延伸部分也取得5**,就叫超級狀元
但黃子衡同學卻連音樂科也取得5**,因此被尊稱為‘終極超級狀元’
是否很厲害?
在人生初期的成就或者壞失,最主要是過去世所帶來的業力。
據說黃子衡自中學開始,每次考試不是考第一,就是考第二。
不僅精於學業,還多才多藝。在歌唱、鋼琴、大提琴中的造詣也非常高
而且也受到了許多老師的喜愛。為什麼?老師說他給人一種陽光的感覺。
大家看影片也看得出來,對嗎?
這些種種美好的事物和幸福;就是源自於過去世的善業
善業是因;緣,或者我們所說的輔助條件又是什麼呢?
大家聽他的訪問,聽他的聲音;在聲相來說,他的說話聲嘹亮陽光、言語正直、說話句句沉實,古籍說這是發達繁榮、成就高、富貴之相。他說話有音有聲,每句話有情感,溫文爾雅,如果生在古代,相學來說就是名人雅士或國士之流。佛陀時代的頻婆娑羅王也是精通於聲相學的,有一次他聽見一個人的聲音後便下結論,說那個人一定是一個大富之人。那時大家都大惑不解,因為他明明是一個窮人來的。後來調查後才發現頻婆娑羅王是對的,他原來藏著許多黃金在自己那裡。(DhpA.24)
為什麼會那些相學家會這樣推測下定論? 其實很簡單,可以解釋的。
說話聲嘹亮陽光、言語正直、說話句句沉實;這是有定力的表現。他的正念非常強,強到追得上他的每一句,所以句句沉實有份量。
而且黃同學容光煥發,面容明淨,給人一種陽光的感覺;這些也是貪嗔癡或者五蓋輕薄,定力足夠的表現。(JaA.110)
中國古語說 ‘清者貴’。心清淨的人地位會高。
為什麼?也是有根據的。
佛陀在AN1.45中說,如果一個人的心是渾濁的(有煩惱),他將不知道自己的利益,別人的利益,兩者的利益。這代表什麼? 愚蠢!
但當一個人心清澈的時候;他將知道自己的利益,別人的利益,兩者的利益。這代表什麼? 聰明有智慧!
有智慧的人不論為人處事,還是學業上、工作上;還是什麼方面都好;都是卓越的人。因此受到別人的尊重,地位自然會高。就好像這位黃同學那樣。
為什麼黃同學的記憶力那麼好,腦轉得那麼快;而讓他能達到千萬位考生之巔呢?也是因為空無五蓋(貪、嗔、昏沉睡眠、散亂後悔、疑惑),內心有定力。
佛陀說,如果一個人被五蓋所困擾,也不知道怎麼能夠從五蓋中出離,他就不能知道自他的利益,少許的東西都記不起來,即使長期背誦的東西也記不起來。
反之,當一個人的心不被五蓋困擾,也知道怎麼能夠從五蓋中出離,他就能知道自他的利益,也能記起平時長期背誦的東西,連那些少接觸的東西也能記起。(AN5.193)
Ajahn Brahm 就說:【你越專注,就會變得越強大。當你開始變得強大時,你能夠做出普通人無法做到的事情。在這裡,我們開始獲得佛教的洞見。不僅能更清晰地思考,還能比普通人更深入地理解;你實際上能看到事物的解決方案。你的記憶也會大幅增強。】
Ajahn Brahm 也舉了一位英國僧侶的女兒做例子。Ajahn Brahm 說:【她讀醫學的。但她幾乎沒有參加任何補習課,甚至不去上課。但她每年都能名列前茅。我想了解原因,然後知道這就是她的禪修。她訓練自己的心靜止。
當你靜止時,就像一個沒有水的海綿。你可以很容易地吸收東西。如果你的海綿裝滿了其他東西,你怎麼能學習呢?你必須清空心靈,使其變得平靜而靜止。這樣你才能真正吸收任何東西。這是極高效率的,能夠閱讀、理解和獲取信息。】
一個讀書好、聰明伶俐、智慧高的人;一定是定力深厚的人。
黃同學在中學時期,他說也沒有談戀愛。這樣避免了他去滋長自己的貪嗔癡,讓自己壞了正念和定力。定力的財富就讓黃同學不僅精於學業;而且在歌唱、鋼琴、大提琴中的造詣也非常高。這就是一般人所說的通才,或者說全能人士了!
頂尖超群的人,一定不是透過‘迷’而成就的;一定是透過具有強大正念、定力來成就的。
而且黃同學具有孝順父母、有戒德、謙遜;這些都促使身邊的人敬愛、幫助與支持他
眾多因緣條件組合在一起,讓黃同學有著非凡的成就

香港前高官 John Tsang (曾俊華) 曾說:【我認為成功從來都沒有一條放諸四海皆準的方程式】
有時我們看到,為什麼李嘉誠可以賺大錢;其他人仿效他,卻不見得能賺大錢,有些反而破產收場?
為什麼股神巴菲特炒股票那麼成功。但人人都拿著他的天書去炒股票,卻不見得人人都變成巴菲特?
沒有~每個人都是獨特的。
每個人都有獨特的業力。我們模仿別人的模式,不見得會成功。
促成成功有太多因素了,有些因素微細到可能全知的佛陀才會知道。
我們永遠無法複製別人的成功。
唯一一條放諸四海皆準的方程式, 就是正念。
每一剎那,心只能被善或惡其中一樣佔據。
當有正念的時候,心一定是善的。 我們的心將能清明起來,我們知道什麼是有利自己,有利別人的。我們的智慧將會超群。
一個正念強的人是有道德的人,因為正念能識破煩惱,不給他們滋生。他將會做許多善事和好事---布施,持戒和禪修。 而種下許多善業,為他日後成功鋪路。好名聲,無畏的自信,大財富,好人緣,都是這樣而來的。
一有正念,那人必定是勤奮的人。因為正念會識破心中的懶惰,讓自己從事有利益的事宜,幫助自己,幫助別人。
成功從來都沒有一條放諸四海皆準的方程式。
如果要說,那就是正念。
'你看,我多麼有taste, 我聽古典樂‘
’你有聽這首歌嗎?沒聽? 唉,你out 了‘
’你看看我多麼陶醉音樂?‘
迷醉於音樂在一般人眼中問題就不大。
但事實上並不是一件值得炫耀的事。
因為享受迷醉於悅耳的音樂,就等於享受五欲。
心多數是被強烈的貪婪,飢渴和不善所佔據;這樣的心其實是惡業來的。
佛陀也說,就算以拖長歌唱的方式去誦經說法,是很容易讓自己和他人染著於歌調之中的(AN5.209)
’迷醉‘音樂,就是心的混亂和盲目,正念的失去,智慧的贏弱。
有些人太過迷醉音樂,就會邊聽歌邊奏樂;邊流口水
就是呆呆的,傻傻的樣子。
這樣好看嗎? 不,又貪又痴
曾在德國舒伯特國際鋼琴大賽中得第四名的香港鋼琴家岑健威; 聽過有學生曾跟他學習鋼琴。他說,岑健威先生也是具有一定的正念,不會迷了進音樂裡面,因此智慧能夠彰顯出來,對音樂有很敏銳的觸覺和分析能力。
當一個人的心夠清的時候,有定力的時候,才能具有智慧去看清事情。 例如乾達婆天子五髻曾經被帝釋天派來引起佛陀的注意,讓佛陀開心。於是五髻便前往佛陀附近奏樂唱歌。這時便引起了佛陀的注意,
佛陀便說:’五髻!你的絃聲與歌聲互相合流。五髻!而且,你的絃聲對歌聲以及歌聲對絃聲互不超越。你是什麼時候聚集這些與佛法僧和欲相關的偈頌呢?‘(DN21)
唯有當心沒有貪嗔癡,心是清淨有正念的時候,才能聽得清,看得清,讓智慧作為主導。
不過既然沒有犯到五戒,在家人仍是可以享受音樂的。只不過,並不是什麼值得炫耀的東西.....
《我們能帶給別人多少價值?》
以下這篇文字是由前香港中文大學醫學院院長寫的:
【上星期我應邀到吉隆坡出席一個醫學論壇,一位我認識超過廿年的前輩於數個月前不幸離世,主辦單位便為他舉辦追悼晚會。不少本地及海外教授都紛紛出席,當晚賓客陸續上台懷緬這位故人,大家所分享的重點並不只是他對醫學所作出的貢獻,而是他那份令人敬佩的領袖風範。
這位故人是馬來西亞華僑,多年來努力不懈,最終成為當地醫學界的一位領袖,以一名華人能夠有此出色成就並非易事。他的成功並不是靠聰明才智 ,而是待人誠懇、沉實工作。還起得我第一次認識這位教授的時候,自己只不過是一個初出茅廬的年輕醫生。他竟然親自帶我到當地的夜市吃榴槤,並介紹一班追隨他的小伙子給我認識。轉眼間便過了廿年,當年識於微時的小伙子們如今都已成為醫學界的重要人物。那晚我們再次聚首一堂,大家都憶起這位已故老師令人尊敬的行事為人。
在我們心目中,他並非那種光芒四射、鶴立雞群的領袖。相反,他是謙遜有禮,經常為他的下屬遮風擋雨,甘願作他們的後盾卻從不邀功的巨人。他最令人津津樂道的,就是他如何出心出力栽培後人,讓他們有出頭之日,而自己卻隱藏在幕後。環顧今天,爭名奪利者比比皆是,可是像這位故人如此謙謙君子的領袖又有幾人?不禁想起「有容乃大,無欲則剛」。
終有一天,我們都會回歸塵土。可否想過自己在别人心中將會留下什麽印象?在墓碑上又會給刻上什麼值得紀念的事蹟呢?】(寫於2023.8.21 cred. to 陳家亮 )
我們在別人心目中的地位,僅僅是建立於我們的德行,和我們能為他們所帶來的快樂和價值。
沒有人會欣賞自私自利,只顧自己的人
當我們沒有貪嗔癡,空掉自我自私,像阿羅漢般致力於幫助別人,成就別人,提攜別人;那麼任誰都會尊重我們,喜歡我們的
隆波間夏就說:【我們要去去除自我感。假如我們能去除自我,就連一隻狗都會愛我們的。但假如我們執著於自我,我們就不能和任何人,甚至是人類相處】
佛陀又在《經集.第1 品.第10 經》《阿喇瓦咖經》中說:
【信賴、聆聽能證得涅槃的阿羅漢之法;不放逸、明察,則可獲得智慧。】
阿羅漢們都在教導什麼?噢,這個世間是無常,苦,無我的;這個身心也都是無常,苦,無我的;應當捨去對他們的執著。
當我們能捨棄對一切的執著時,便能如以上這位已逝的醫學領袖那樣「有容乃大,無欲則剛」的廣大心量
佛陀再說:【所作適當、負責任,勤奮能得到財富。
真實能贏得稱譽。
饋贈能聯結朋友。】
那位醫學領袖因為待人以誠而獲得稱譽。
因為沉實工作等等的條件,而獲得了很高的地位和財富
他帶陳家亮教授到當地的夜市吃榴槤,並介紹一班追隨他的小伙子給他認識。因為施捨饋贈而聯結了許多後輩朋友
佛陀再說:
【有信仰的居家者,若有此四法:
1.真實
2.如法
3.堅定
4.施捨,
他過世就不會憂愁。】
噢,相信那位已故的醫學領袖以平靜不憂愁的心過世了~
怎樣知道一個人有大福報?
他是一個有良好精神健康的人
好像奧巴馬那樣,他就說他的心情和性情既不會太高,也不會太低
維持著好的天氣
要不然怎樣面對一天十幾二十樣棘手的問題?
情緒一失控,事情一處理得慢、處理得不妥當,他的總統生涯就要告吹了
奧巴馬良好的精神健康代表什麼?
表示他的正念、定力和智慧夠強;至起碼已經強過世上大部份人了
要不然怎能勝任總統的職位?
平穩的心,就是不會過於自卑自大的心,是自我感和我慢薄弱的心
他心中的善法其實是很多的;
他勤奮精進
他的心傾向於無私,想著怎樣為人民謀福祉,比較少想到自己
因為無私,沒有太把東西抓來給自己的心
所以他的心是很輕鬆自在的,常常會笑,有時也會和白宮裡的職員開玩笑
他從幫助人民中獲得快樂,即從他的政治工作中獲得快樂,就如隆波間夏所說:
【當我們在工作中找到快樂時,
我們獲得一切——
物質、財富和智慧。】
因為心的質素高,心常處於善的狀態,所以他什麼都有
反之,一般人缺乏正念、定力和智慧,因此無論遇到什麼,都執著它們,強烈地把它們當成‘我的’ ,緊握不放。造成內心的壓力和痛苦。心一旦那麼脆弱,是難當大事的,所以一般成就不會太高,也是沒有功德的表現。
但奧巴馬也有弱點,他有些執著家人。
如果妻女死了,或有人攻擊詆毀他的妻女;他可能會因此而消沉一段時間。
人無完人,每個人都有弱點
阿羅漢或像阿羅漢的人才沒有
為什麼?他們不執著一切事物,心非常輕鬆自在且快樂
沒有人能毀掉哪怕他們一丁點的精神健康
所以我們每個人都應該追求這種至高的快樂

How can we tell if a person has great merits?
They are someone with good mental health.
Like Obama, he says his mood and temperament are neither too high nor too low, maintaining good weather.
Otherwise, how can one face a dozen or twenty tricky problems in a day?
Once emotions get out of control, or if matters are handled slowly or improperly, his presidential career could be in jeopardy.
What does Obama’s good mental health represent?
It indicates that his mindfulness, stillness, and wisdom are strong; at least stronger than most people in the world.
Otherwise, how could he manage the position of president?
A stable mind means not being overly self-abased or arrogant; it is a mind where the sense of self and conceit are weak.
He has many good qualities within his mind;
he is diligent and dedicated.
His mind leans towards selflessness, always thinking about how to benefit the people, rather than focusing on himself.
Because of his selflessness, he does not cling tightly to things for himself,
so his mind is very relaxed and at ease. He often smiles and sometimes jokes with the White House staff.
He finds joy in helping the people, deriving happiness from his political work, just as Luang Por Ganha said:
“When we find joy in our work, we gain everything—
material wealth , riches, and wisdom.”
Because the quality of his mind is high and often in a good state, he has everything.
On the contrary, ordinary people lack mindfulness, stillness, and wisdom. Therefore, no matter what they encounter, they cling to it, strongly considering it as "mine," and hold on tightly. This creates inner stress and suffering. Once the heart becomes so fragile, it is difficult to handle big matters, so their achievements won't be too high, and there is a sign of little merits.
But Obama also has weaknesses; he is somewhat attached to his family.
If his wife or daughters were to die, or if someone attacked and slandered them, he might feel down for a while.
No one is perfect; everyone has weaknesses.
Only Arahants or those like Arahants do not have weaknesses.
Why? They do not cling to anything, and their minds are very relaxed, at ease, and happy.
No one can destroy even a tiny bit of their mental well-being.
So each of us should pursue this supreme happiness.

A significant figure, whether good or evil, possesses a powerful mind force. What constitutes this mind force? Buddhism speaks of the Five Powers: the power of faith, the power of diligence, the power of mindfulness, the power of stillness , and the power of wisdom.
If we consider Shakyamuni Buddha, throughout many past lives, no matter where he was reborn, he was always a significant figure or leader. In every life, he accumulated the ten perfections, gradually building a strong mind force.
When good karma ripens, and he encounters good friends or a righteous religion like Buddhism, he became a righteous leader, such as a wise king, minister, great Dhamma master, or the head of hermits.
Conversely, if bad karma ripens and he encounters evil friends, he becomes an evil leader, like the chief of thieves.
We see that the leaders of great nations also possess powerful mind forces. For instance, Hitler always believed in his ideology and was not swayed by anyone (power of faith).
He worked tirelessly to implement his ideals (power of diligence).
He constantly remembered his goals and acted accordingly (power of mindfulness).
His heart remained stable and unwavering, pursuing his goals without being influenced by others (power of stillness).
Wisdom is the power of letting go—he dismissed all attacks from public opinion and condemnation from other countries, remaining unaffected, even without regret. He then used his evil cunning to decisively carry out aggression and massacre (power of wisdom).
When the mind force is so strong, it becomes very powerful. No one can stop him. When the mind is directed toward evil, it first burns himself and then others. Did everyone see the scorching fire burning him in this video?
Other heads of state also possess strong mind forces; it depends on whether they direct that mind force toward their own and others suffering ; or their own and others happiness.
When mind force is cultivated to such strength, they will be powerful figures across many lives.
Setbacks, difficulties, ridicule, gossips, isolation, harm, and contempt cannot sway their high goals. They feel no embarrassment, regret, retreat, or cowardice; they possess immense strength.
Thus, when conditions and merits are sufficient, many will become significant figures. They will generate more strength of Kamma than many others, but whether it is good or bad kamma ; depends on the conditions they encounter.
If guided by the Five Powers taught by the Buddha, one will only lead to the absolute highest peace and happiness—nibanna:
1.The power of faith is believing in the Buddha's enlightenment.
2.The power of diligence is the effort to abandon evil and cultivate goodness.
3.The power of mindfulness is having good memory and intelligence (frequently recalling the body and mind, their nature of impermanence, suffering, non-self, arising and ceasing).
4.The power of stillness is the strength of the first, second, third, and fourth jhanas.
5.The power of wisdom is the understanding of the arising and ceasing of conditioned phenomena, achieving the effect of letting go of all attachments and extinguishing all suffering (AN5.13).
Those who possess these five powers can extinguish all defilements and become great figures in the universe, even earning the respect and bowing of celestial beings and Brahma gods.
一個大人物,不論是正,還是邪
都有很強大的心力
心力由什麼組成? 佛教有講五力:信力,精進力,(憶)念力,定力,智慧之力
如果是釋迦牟尼佛,在過去許多生許多世,不論投胎到哪裡,他一直都是大人物或者領袖。
生生世世,他一直都在累積十波羅蜜,逐步建構強大的心力
如果善業成熟,遇到善友、正信宗教或佛教;他就會是正派的大領袖,例如賢明的國王、大臣、大法師、隱士之首
如果惡業成熟,遇到惡友;他就會是邪派的大領袖,例如盜賊之首
我們看到大國的領導人,同樣擁有強大的心力。
例如希特拉;他始終相信自己的理念,不被任何人所左右(信力);
他非常努力地實行自己的理想(精進力);
他時刻都憶念起自己的目標然後實行,導向目標(念力);
他的心穩定不動搖,不受任何人左右地實施自己的目標(定力)
智慧是放下的力量---他放下一切輿論的攻擊、其他國家的譴責,心不被這些左右,連後悔也不會後悔。然後運用邪惡的聰明才能堅決進行侵略和屠殺(慧力)
當心力那麼強,那是很具威力的。沒有人能夠阻止他
當心投向邪惡的地方;就會先焚燒自己,然後焚燒其他人。大家在這段影片看到灼熱之火在燒他嗎?
其他大國的元首,同樣也具有強大的心力;就看他們把心力導向自他的痛苦,還是自他的快樂了~
當心力被培育到那麼強大,他們多生多世都會是很強大的人。
挫折、困難、嘲笑、是非、孤立、傷害、輕視;這些全都無法左右他們的高遠目標,他們絲毫不會覺得尷尬、後悔、退縮和怯懦;具有很大的力量
所以條件福報一具足,多數都會是大人物
然後造作許多的善業還是惡業;就看他們遇到的條件。
如果是佛陀所教導的五力;就只會導向絕對最高的清涼和快樂—涅槃
1.信力就是相信佛陀的覺悟
2.精進力就是棄惡修善的努力力量
3.念力就是有良好的記憶力和聰敏(頻繁憶念起身心,它們的無常、苦、無我、生滅)
4.定力就是初禪、二禪、三禪、四禪的力量
5.慧力就是了知到條件組合事物的生滅之智,達到放下執著,滅盡痛苦的效果(AN5.13)
具足這五力的人;就能滅盡一切煩惱;成為宇宙中的大人物,連天神和梵天神都要尊敬低頭
