「在修行實踐中，如果我們只關注外在、只聽聞外在教導，就難以真正看清，或者即使看見了也無法放下。例如，我們都看到有人出生、有人衰老，但自己卻放不下對『生』的執著；我們看到疾病痛苦，卻放不下對『病』的抗拒；我們看到有人死亡，卻放不下對『死』的恐懼。

正因如此，佛法中的『來親自看見』（Ehipassiko）是呼喚眾生來觀察真理；『引導深入內心』（Opanayiko）則是讓我們將法向內體悟——去觀察『生』，到底是什麼在生？我們自己就是在『生』。如果我們真切體認到『生』的本質是苦，自然就能放下；若未從自身中見苦，便無法真正放下。

這就像我們手提重物：若知道它重，自然會放下；若不知其重，便一直提著。修行之道，也是如此。」

“…In practice, if we only look outward, only listen to external teachings, we cannot truly see—or even if we see, we cannot let go. For example, we see people being born, we see people aging, but we cannot relinquish attachment to birth. We see sickness and disease, but we cannot let go. We see people die, but we cannot release our fear of death.

That is why the quality of the Dhamma is called ‘Ehipassiko’—inviting all beings to come and see. It is ‘Opanayiko’—urging us to turn inward and look. Look at birth: what is it that is born? We ourselves are the ones who are born. If we see that this birth itself is suffering, we will naturally let go. If we do not see the suffering within ourselves, we cannot let go.

An analogy: when we carry a heavy object, if we recognize its weight, we put it down. If we do not recognize it as heavy, we do not put it down. The same is true here…”

Because we do not practice it properly.

We lack respect for the qualities of the Buddha,

we lack respect for the qualities of the Dhamma,

we lack respect for the qualities of the Noble Sangha,

we lack respect in giving,

we lack respect in keeping precepts,

we lack respect in meditation,

and we lack respect in welcoming others.

When we do not respect these seven aspects of Dhamma,

it leads to the decline of religion.

If we still have firm respect

for these seven aspects,

then religion will flourish…”

因為我們沒有正確地實踐。

我們對佛陀的德行缺乏尊重，

對法的德行缺乏尊重，

對聖僧的德行缺乏尊重，

對布施缺乏尊重，

對守戒缺乏尊重，

對禪修缺乏尊重，

對迎接他人的行為缺乏尊重。

當我們不尊重這七個法的方面時，

就會導致宗教的衰退。

如果我們對這七個方面仍然保持堅定的尊重，

那麼宗教就會繁榮發展…”

運氣不好就是心不好。

當心裡充滿痛苦、混亂與煩惱時，

這就是運氣不好。

做什麼都不順，

求什麼都不得，

這就叫運氣不好。

要從這裡覺察...」

"...What is bad luck?

Bad luck is when our mind is unwell.

When the heart is filled with suffering, chaos and distress,

this is true bad luck.

Nothing goes right,

nothing is obtained,

this is what we call bad luck.

Observe this carefully..."
