因此，身處世間，雖需以飲食資養性命，

眾人成家立業，積聚錢財房屋，

然當生命終結——死亡來臨之時，

卻少有人念及此境，只知追逐錢財，

堆積於屋宅銀行之中。

這般執著令人心繫掛礙，臨終時亦不知誰將接管一切，

種種思慮纏繞不休。

此即所謂「五蘊是重擔」——

這副重擔，

正使我們的心濁暗憂惱。

故而，我們誠心修行、敬奉善知識者，

當常懷警覺，

慶幸有佛法指引，有師長諄諄教誨，

教導我們修習禪定與智慧，滌除內心塵垢。

這才是人生最重要之事。

因眾人都明白錢財物質無法帶走，

卻仍貪戀不捨，

更疏於實踐佛法——

這正是損害我們生命的原因。

Thus, dwelling in the world, 

though we must sustain life with food and nourishment, 

and people establish families, homes, and accumulate wealth— 

when life reaches its end, that is, death, 

few truly reflect on this; instead, they only think of amassing money, 

piling it in houses, banks, and various places. 

This makes the heart cling anxiously to life; 

when death comes, none know who will inherit it all. 

Such thoughts swirl endlessly. 

This is what is called: *Bhārā have pañcakkhandhā*— 

“The five aggregates are indeed a burden.” 

This very burden 

is what draws our minds into defilement and gloom. 

Therefore, as those who aspire to practice, 

who revere teachers living the virtuous path, 

we ought to maintain mindful vigilance. 

We are fortunate to have the Buddha’s teaching 

and guides who repeatedly instruct us 

to develop stillness and wisdom, 

to cleanse the stains of the heart— 

this is essential in our human life. 

For everyone knows 

that wealth and possessions cannot be taken along, 

yet attachment and longing remain, 

and we seldom engage sincerely in Dhamma practice. 

This is what undermines our lives.

此生猶如一塊破布，亦如一個垃圾桶，不斷收集善惡業的果報，而我們便是承受這些果報的人。若我們能以智慧觀照生命，內化為心中的法義，那麼這顆心便如同破布瞬間包裹了黃金——因為人的身體本無價值，其價值在於懷有正法的心。一切物質形色如同破布，而通過修行見證法性的心，才是真正的黃金，是無價的法財，清晰顯現為生命的見證。

反之，若我們漠視修心、培養善德，這樣的人可稱為「破布包狗糞」。生而為人卻不知人的價值，甚至否定善行的意義，內心充滿惡念，雖有人形卻懷餓鬼之心。外表可區分美醜，內心同樣能分辨善惡、淨穢。同為人類，心卻各不相同——正是心使人殊異，而非身體或外在財富。

This life is like a ragged cloth, akin to a trash bin that collects the results of good and bad karmas, making us the experiencers of these fruits. If we contemplate life with supreme wisdom and inwardly generate Dhamma in the heart, that very Dhamma will instantly transform like a ragged cloth wrapping around gold. For the human body itself holds no value; its worth lies in the heart that embodies Dhamma. All material forms are but rags, while the mind trained through practice to realize Dhamma according to its capacity becomes gold—the invaluable treasure of Dhamma, manifesting clearly as a witness.

However, if we neglect training the mind, preserving the heart, and cultivating virtue, such individuals could be called "rags wrapped around dog feces." Born human yet unaware of human value—still worse, unaware of the value of goodness, even rejecting it—while the mind remains rich in evil. Though born human, the heart leans toward the realm of ghosts and demons. Just as physical appearance distinguishes beauty from ugliness, the heart similarly distinguishes good from evil, purity from filth. Though born the same as humans, hearts differ—it is the heart that truly differentiates people, not the body, wealth, or external possessions.

「我們的心啊，

總是糾纏在各種世俗瑣事裡，

把自己搞得焦慮不安、煩躁不堪——

就因為誤以為這些 世俗的東西很重要，

於是毫不猶豫地投入全部心思。

就像飛蛾看見火光，

一股腦撲上去，

最後燒焦墜落...

我們的生命也是如此虛幻。

正如佛陀開示：

有生必有死，

有青春就有衰老，

有相聚就有別離——

這才是世間的真相。」

"Our minds constantly obsess

over worldly affairs,

creating restlessness and anxiety—

all because we mistake them

for something truly important,

diving in without reflection.

Like moths drawn to flames,

we recklessly plunge,

only to get burned...

Such is the illusion of our existence.

As the Buddha taught:

Birth inevitably leads to death,

youth to aging,

union to separation—

this is reality's true nature."

“…Contemplate to bring forth Dhamma within the heart.

The Dhamma that arises in the heart

is like a piece of cloth wrapping gold,

for the body itself has no value;

its worth lies in the heart that possesses Dhamma.

All material things are merely ragged cloth,

while the immaterial aspect is the heart that practices

until it sees Dhamma according to its ability.

That is the gold.

Life in this world is like ragged cloth,

like a garbage bin filled with dirt:

gossip, praise, happiness, suffering,

wealth, possessions, status, and honor—

things that we all cling to

without deriving true value from them.

Only when we see things as they truly are,

with mindfulness at all times,

and reflect inwardly with a sense of justice,

will we know,

avoiding delusion and regret…”

“…內心沉思以產生法。

心中所產生的法

就像包裹金子的破布，

因為這具身體本身沒有價值；

它的價值在於擁有法的心。

所有的物質事物都只是破布，

而非物質的方面是修行的心，

直到根據自己的能力見到法。

那才是真正的金。

這個世界上的人生就像破布，

像一個垃圾桶，充滿了污垢：

閒話、讚美、快樂、痛苦、

財富、財產、地位和榮耀——

這些都是我們所珍惜的

卻無法從中獲得真正的價值。

只有當我們如實地看待事物，

隨時保持正念，

並以公正的心反思內心，

我們才能知道，

避免迷失與後悔…”

"There is no true happiness in this world—

though we believe there is.

As the Buddha profoundly taught,

worldly happiness doesn’t exist.

What we call ‘happiness’ here

is always mixed with restlessness and anxiety.

With great wealth, we fear robbery,

extortion, or betrayal.

Endless worries: Where to keep it?

Carrying it invites danger;

storing it breeds suspicion.

Fear of thieves, murderers,

or even family disputes—

the mind spins in every direction,

trapped in perpetual unease.

This is not peace—

this is a heart in turmoil...."

「世間本無真樂——

人自妄執為有。

如佛陀徹見：

世俗之樂實非樂。

所謂的『快樂』，

皆摻雜躁動憂懼。

擁巨富則怕劫盜、

勒索、背叛。

無盡煩憂：藏何處？

攜帶招禍；

寄存生疑。

懼盜賊、殺手、

乃至親族爭奪——

心念紛馳，

永陷不安。

此非平靜——

乃在混亂中的心..」
