Luang Por Pathom

“…Looking at us, it is truly lamentable…”

We cycle through birth and death, like pigs in a pen,

going in and out without learning.

We are caught in this cycle of birth and death,

feeding on our own blood and flesh,

like pigs endlessly going in and out.

The Buddha taught us to uphold precepts

to protect ourselves, to care for ourselves,

so we do not fall into degradation.

Moral principles are impartial;

whoever practices is protected by the Dhamma…

“…看著我們，實在令人感到悲哀……”

我們在生死輪迴中，像豬在圈裡，

不斷進出而不知醒悟。

我們陷入這生死的循環，

吸食著自己的血肉，

如同豬不停地進出。

佛陀教導我們要持戒，

以保護自己，照顧自己，

不讓自己墮落。

道德原則是公正的；

誰實踐，誰就會受到法的保護…
